NC State, out of nowhere, has one of the top defenses in the country. Is that surprising to you, and what do you see from them on film?

RS: No, NC State has always been really talented on film. They have a defensive coordinator who came from the Steelers. The thing NC State does is they throw a lot at you. Compared to Boston College, Boston College is a pretty basic defense, they make you earn what you get, they play very sound defense, don’t make a lot of mistakes, but NC State throws a bunch at you. They have a lot of stuff in their package, which makes it tough to prepare. You’ve gotta spend that much more time in the film room studying them and looking for any tendencies you can find. They’re not easy with that team to find. I can definitely see why they’re one of the top defenses in the country.
