I was out of town and didn't get to see or hear the game, but judging by Tracy's modest shot total and by the fact that nearly 40% of our FGAs were threes, I'm guessing Winthrop played a lot of zone. Is that accurate?
Very encouraging lines from Scott Wood and Richard Howell, and I see Howell continues to extend his game beyond the arc. Still not sure I'm comfortable with that.
State's offense was about as bad in the second half as it was good in the first, though the defensive effort improved considerably.

More of a pack-ed in man
Winthrop packed in their man-to-man and collapsed on Tracy. He did a good job of looking for the open guy both on his side as well as on the other side of the court, and the perimeter guys did a good job swinging it around.
We still can’t guard for 30 seconds.
