Garnett & Black Attack

This article is definately written by someone who’s a Gamecock homey. Only credit he gives the Pack is special teams???…Gimme a break. With our home crowd…A healthy Wilson…and even a sniff of a running game I think we win this one with ease. SC just lost too many players, really stunk the end of 2008, & our guys remember those thugs & their late hits from last year. What may be close(i.e 14-10) at the half will turn out to be a lop-sided pack win.
I’m predicting 34-17….with us taking a knee at their 3 yard line as time expires…

34-17?

Yep, definitely a comment by someone who’s a “’Pack homey.”

Thanks for the intelligent response.

That's ok Dude...

I understand…..I really do…I also know that Packman on WMFD in Charlotte plays a real funny toon at 5:04. Heard it lately?
it means 56-6….or can you understand that..Get it??
Oh yah I know that’s the final score of the Florida game.

Might be that bad in Raleigh too!!!!!!
WOO HOO….Can’t wait till opening night on national TV!!!
Remember that guy you guys knocked out with a vicious illegal hit(R. Wilson)
Well he’s VERY much awake!!
Be afraid…VERY AFRAID!!!!

Anyhow’s….We’ll be cordial to all the Gamecock Nation when they come to Raleigh and I bet the tailgaiting will be just as much fun as the great times from Columbia last year. Very Classy fans….Great fans actually. Clempson could learn a lot from the great fans from Columbia!!!

remember…..It’s just a game…..it’s just a game…NOW KICK SOME GAME COCK A$$…LOL

Look forward to a good time….

Right. When I think of NC State...

I immediately think of Florida. You guys are very comparable in terms of talent.

Tough crowd we got here

Pretty good overview, GM, but could you expand a bit on your assessment of the QBs? I think there’s a pretty clear edge in our favor at that spot. I’m guessing you didn’t get to see much of Wilson during our late-season surge.

Also, if you haven’t seen it, this’ll give you an idea just how good the Pack’s offense was down the stretch last season.

I should probably give you guys the QB...

Wilson clearly proved that he can play at an extremely high level against UNC and Miami last year, whereas Garcia played all of about three good quarters last year. Garcia does have a lot of natural tools and apparently has come a long way during the off season towards learning the offense, which was his main problem last year. He played well in spring practice, and I expect he’ll be much improved this year. but I can see why a non-Gamecocks fan would be suspicious, and, honestly, there’s probably no good reason to rank him at Wilson’s level, although I suspect that by the end of the year it won’t seem so strange to do so.

BTW, how do you think you guys will weather losing Andre Brown?

should be okay at rb

Jamelle Eugene isn’t as talented, but he’s carried the load in the past and he’s done it pretty well. We’ll also—fingers crossed—have a healthy Toney Baker at our disposal for the first time in a couple of years.

Definite Homer

“Probably” give us the nod at QB? What a joke. The guy mentions no ’Pack newcomers, redshirt or otherwise, in his analysis and comparison. Not even a reference to a returning non-starter letterman from 2008.

For each Wolfpack position, he provides a sentence or two comment regarding a returning starter or two, and/or lost starters from last year.

The Gamecock analysis in much more detailed, including comments of incoming freshmen, returning letterman, and player development over last season and spring practice.

From this, Gamecock man thinks he can make a reasoned and intelligent analysis to gauge the relative strengths of stated positions of the two programs?

What a joke.

Perhaps just a mention of Alan-Cash when discussing the defensive line? Or how about Brandon Barnes? He was just a 5 star recruit (rated 8th best athlete, nationally, in his class) who redshirted last year, slotted to play a little tailback this year. That’s just 2 of the many athletes left off this article that would have been included in any intelligently written posting.

Gamecock Man obviously does not have enough knowledge of the ’Pack program and its athletes to make any relevant comparison of the two teams.

But it is what it is, a homer article written about the home team regarding an opponent of whom little is known.

A half ass, lazy, uninformed article.
