USC would like to add one more offensive tackle to their commitment class, and the Gamecocks may still have a shot at NC State commitment Robert Crisp (6-7 302) of Chapel Hill, NC. A source familiar with the situation tells PalmettoSports.com. that Crisp is not 100% solid with his commitment to State and is considering some other schools including USC.

Cheering For Anyone Else Is For Quitters

I think your tag line says it all. I sure would like a couple offseasons without this type of bad news.

that would be refreshing

But I’m increasingly certain that this just ain’t our century.

Seems to be the case in BB

but, I have hopes for O’Brien. I think his track record speaks for itself.

BS

He isn’t looking around if he is a kid of his word and I have to think Rob is. He’s said in an interview in the past few days that he is solid with NC State and that the rumors were nothing. His quote was, “I’m a man of my word and I’m solid with NC State. I gave Coach O’Brien my word.” And I don’t think USC would make his top 5 even if he was looking. UGA was #2 so I assume they would be the team to beat if he did anything.

Hope you're right

And, based on TOB’s track record so far, he seems to be able to sniff out players that are going to back out. I don’t remember the players name, but there was one O’Brien’s first year that ended up at UNC. He wouldn’t give a firm yes close to signing day and O’Brien pull his scholarship offer. The rumor was that he was planning a signing day surprise.
