The D is impressive
What I’m most impressed by is the fact that this D has given-up the following 2 TD’s through 2 games:
1.) USC takes possession of the ball inside the 10-yard line on a turnover.
2.) Murray St takes a punt to their 30 yard-line. The 3rd string D proceeds to then give them 44 yards of the 70 left to the end zone. One of those was a late hit on a “4th-and-you-can’t-get-there-from-here” play.
So, this D still hasn’t been scored-on by a legitimate drive in 8 quarters of play. Even against USC and Murray St., that’s still impressive.
