The Glennon Plan Changes
On his plans for Glennon against Pittsburgh
"We are not gonna go the way we [were] going. Wilson is going to play the game and if Michael gets in, he gets in. He’s gotten enough snaps here for right now."
You turn to me and say something sexy, like, "if Michael gets in, he gets in." I know what you're tryin' to say, baby. You're tryin' to say, "aww yeah, it's business time."

We missed our chance
We should’ve had Glennon in for the entire 2nd half the other night, in a situation where he could just run a normal offense & get some experience throwing the ball. We didn’t take advantage, and now I agree that it’s time to stop fucking around & wasting possessions.
The possession late in the first half against USC where Glennon took a few steps was bad for flow and bad for our chances to actually win… the time for that’s past.
Incidentally, from what I’ve seen in game action so far, there’s going to be a significant bump in the road when Glennon takes over. I, for one, am not hoping that’s next year.
The kid’s gonna be good, and he has more pro potential than Russell… but it’s not going to be a seamless transition.

BUT HE’S GOT A CANNON FOR AN ARM!!!!!1armstrengthisoverrated
I think he’ll do just fine. And I think it was ultimately good to Glennon some snaps but I agree with you, it would’ve been nice if the record would’ve set up to be broken in the first half, not the second, allowing Glennon time to work with the first teamers in the second half more.
Eh, there’s give and take. Let’s just hope we don’t NEED Glennon at any point this year.
All Wolfpack, all the time.
I personally HATE that we left Russell in, slinging the ball all over the field, just to set the record before we got to the Pitt game. 1 – He could’ve gotten hurt… 2 – Glennon needed the time… 3 – It was pretty poor sportsmanship.
If he throws a pick on play #1 tomorrow and doesn’t set the record, then so be it… but don’t rig it.

But he’s already set the record. From here on out he’s simply padding it until the next pick. O’Brien wanted to get the record set in the previous game so it wouldn’t be a topic of conversation leading up to the game. It’s worked…other than cursory mentions here and there, it’s not been a talking point.
I think Russell could care less about the record. In some ways I think he’s probably eager to toss a pick and move on. But it is what it is, and I think O’Brien handled it the right way. I doubt the G-W coach felt like we were being poor sports because I’m sure he was aware of the situation, as well.
I’m going to trust coach and the way he handled it on this one.
All Wolfpack, all the time.
Sorry – I was referring to the “what if” scenario… ie, “what if” we’d just pulled Russell at halftime and forgotten about the record. It’s what we really should’ve done, for numerous reasons… although I can see TOB’s point about it being a potential distraction going into tomorrow.

Glennon
I’m sure we have to believe that Glennon today is better than either Daniel Evans or Harrison Beck.

Well, yeah...
… but for that matter, so’s a guy named Cary that I’ve been tailgating with for 15 years… dude’s got a rifle…

Does Cary
have proven decision making abilities? Evans knew what to do, he just didn’t have the arm go deep. At least Glennon should be the best of both. I’m sure he makes better decisions already than Beck ever did, and has more arm strength than Evans ever will.

You got me there...
Cary’s not our role model for… well… hmmmm… anything involving decision-making.
Move along…
