The shocking thing is...

…. that we keep thinking it can’t get any worse.

And then it does…

Oh, by the way...

…. I’ve never, in my life, missed 13 straight 20-foot jumpers.

And I’m 5’8", can’t jump, and have never played a game of organized basketball…

Did Horner

really have 16 rebounds? How is that even possible? Howell only got 3 minutes of PT?

I did not even bother watching the game after I switched it on and the score was like 24-6 or something ridiculous like that.

Fun fact: going into last night, Horner had 17 total rebounds in ACC play. Less than two per game.

Howell somehow managed to cut himself on the thigh while running onto the court for warmups and was limited because he could not run. Seriously.

i posted this at WRALSports.com

with increasingly poor performances, its hard to keep attending games when the tickets cost 25 dollars and the drive is over an hour. from the stands, it was clear that the team was just going through the motions. maybe a team losing almost every game finds it hard to make a real effort when their leading scorer, through which the offense runs, has the flu, and a starter cuts his leg before the game begins. i would like to look each player in the face and ask them if they care, because from the stands it really looks like they don’t care. i don’t know if Lowe knows he is in the kind of trouble that led to Sendek leaving, but from what is being said by fans in the stands, i would say he is. after all, its his responsibility to get the players ready to make an effort.
hey, N.C. State athletic department, how much longer do you expect us Wolfpack Club members to keep contributing when your product stinks so badly?

It’s gotten to the point where I forgot we even had a game, and didn’t mind missing it … to do nothing.

I let my wife watch

american idol/fall asleep on the couch while I read a book. I think I have watched less NC State games (football and basketball) this year than any other year since I graduated (2002). This includes a couple years of living in colorado where I would have to go to a sports bar for most games (I live in durham now). I hardly ever even discuss NC State sports with my friends from State, and we went to every home football and basketball game during our time at State, as well as some road games and all bowl games. It’s just sad.

If not for liveblogs...

… the games would be unwatchable… and when I reviewed last night’s, it had the feeling of a morgue… the last vestige of fun is nearly gone…

that's about right

When we’re shooting like this, it’s hard to find good humor. I’m thinking the Carolina game may be the last liveblog of the season.

I think I need to change my name

from PackHooligan, there is no hooliganism left in me. Maybe I can be Grizzly+Chainsaw

A grizzly bear with a chainsaw, now there’s a killing machine!

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
