"It was real slow in the first half and they were able to do whatever they wanted to do," said junior guard Adrian Bowie, who drained two three-pointers during Maryland's second-half comeback surge. "They ran their offense at their speed, and that wasn't our type of speed."
I've seen these sentiments in a few places, and just to clarify: there were 34 possessions in the first half, 31 in the second.

Thank you
Bonner kept going on and on about how we were playing too fast in the second half. I thought it was crap at the time, glad the the numbers are backing that up.
i actually thought State played faster in the 2nd half-well
until the last six to seven minutes-my misconception. i thought early to middle of the second half Degand did a good job taking the ball to the basket hard after Maryland’s press was broken, but his dish was to Vandenberg at least twice-a player who at this time can’t finish. had Smith been on the receiving end of those passes, the outcome would have been better. i have an issue with Lowe playing so many players. a seven to eight player rotation would suit me. also, i am wondering why C.J. Williams is again getting significant playing time. he still isn’t adding anything.
to change the subject a bit, did Horner walk before he made that short jumper. i didn’t see it and thought it was a “and one”. then there was that instance were a Maryland player pulled hard on Horner’s jersey causing him to miss a put back badly. the outcome might have been the same, but someone at wralsports.com detailed how the correct call in these two instances might have changed things.
