needed that win over miami, i guess

Conference tourney success appears to have been pretty important. I think they should have been in ahead of Florida, but the Gators do have better non-conference wins.

loved Weber of Illinois on ESPN. what a crybaby!

his support for 96 teams in the tournament brought tears to my eyes. just the thought of sooo many bad teams in the tournament. oh, the horror. hey, its the “let’s give everyone a trophy so that no one’s self esteem is hurt” concept.
but, in truth, i did love Jay Bilas who said in so many words that when one is duscussing whether VT or Illinois should be in, one is discussing who in the bottom of the barrel deserves to get in-not who has a shot at winning the national championship. however, one does have to remember Davidson and George Mason. now some may point to 1983, but State won their way in by winning the ACC tournament over UNC and Virginia.
State baseball got swept by Clemson. great conference start. not.

if VT belongs in the NCAA’s, then State does for beating all the top 50 teams State beat. not really.

Not

too happy about that seeding, however I’m not sure what I should think.
Opinions?

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
