Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Astros' fans react to Oswalt trade

"To take over a program, to have some veteran players that often times, veteran players can have their own ideas... now she's got to try and get them all on the same page, get the young ones with the veterans... that's hard to do."

"In her first year she's in the tournament. It's outstanding."

"It only takes one to screw up everything. It only takes one.. one person on that team to screw up everything. If that one is powerful enough, they can destroy the entire team. She's got them all together, and that's hard to do. I commend her. It's hard to do."

Sid talking about Kellie Harper. Maybe I'm reading too much into these comments, but something tells me Lowe is speaking from experience here.

Yeah

there are flashing lights around that quote. It’s hard not to infer that he is basically saying “I KNOW THIS BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!”

Yeah, pretty thinly veiled.

let's remember

that Lowe did not have his player issues his first year. i think that if Atsur had not got hurt, Lowe also would have taken his team to the NCAA’s his first year.
as to the women, they don’t seem to have the ego problems that the men do which is why i love their game. the State women always play hard even if they don’t play well sometimes. if i go to a woman’s game, it dosen’t cost me to park, its seven dollars to get in (i only paid one dollar for the b.c. game in pack the house night), i get great seats usually sitting in section 12 and one of rows A-D, if the women win, they line dance with the cheerleaders, and one of the players always thanks us for coming and ask us to come to their next home game. on top of that, i got to watch Kellie Harper this year.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
