ACC Select Is Your Only Viewing Option For Tomorrow's Game
So that sucks. It is free, though.
I had been planning on another liveblog, but this could make it difficult. You guys up for giving it a go anyway?

seems like it should be possible
I’ve seen bars show ESPN360 streams on their TVs before. Whether anyone is set up or planning to do it for our game, I don’t know. I doubt it.
It is free, though.
The ACC Select site says that there is a $9.95 charge to view the game. Is there a coupon code that can be used or something?
Dude, I'm not sure
Haven’t tried it, but it hasn’t sounded awe-inspiring… if y’all are on, I guess I’ll give it a shot.
In other news, ANOTHER hideous game is on tonight. Miami-uncch is living up to the billing of a battle between two last-place teams. Awful, awful, awful…
If we finish tied with Miami...
… do we get the nod? That’s the only way we could be in the driver’s seat…
WOTH:
We win the tiebraker with Miami, and it’s in the ACC-B11 Challenge contract that they must leave out the 12th seeded team. Basically, we are assured of not finishing last as long as Miami loses on Saturday, or if we win out. If we are at 5-11 and Miami does not lose out (i.e., there is a tie among multiple teams for last at 5-11) it’s a bit more tricky – we may or may not be 12th.
If we win out we could finish as high as 8th.

on another note i saw where
Wake is playing FSU tonight in ESPN2 or U, and while i will be listening too, or watching State play Va Tech, i can write that even if State wasn’t playing i wouldn’t care to watch that Wake-FSU game. writing of Wake, no other school has under achieved more than Wake in men’s basketball in the last 15 or so years-even achieving less than Sendek’s teams. take Dave Odum and Tim Duncan, or Dave Odum, Rodney Rogers and Ranbdolp Childress. Tim Duncan is one of the best basketball players ever, and even with a good supporting cast, did Odum ever get them to the final four? Wake in Duncan’s junior year had a really good team until the end of the regular season by which time Odum had turned a good shooting team into to one that couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn. How about Prosser, Chris Paul and all of the talent surrounding Paul? never could get to the sweet sixteen. and how about Dino, Teague, Johnson and Aminu last year? one and done in the NCAA tournament. as much as Wake’s football team overachieves, their basketball team has underachieved.
Was it Duncan's senior year
When Tony Rutland (the pg) injured his knee right before the NCAA tournament? Rutland still played, but he was noticably playing at not 100%. That really brought the ceiling of that team down. Dino needs to have a sit down with Ish and LD and tell them that if they ever end a game with more shots taken than Aminu, that they will not be starting the next game.
woth, haven’t you heard? UNC has turned it around! They beat a wake team that is playing so awful that their coaches are trying everything to get the team out of the funk (changing practice times, etc.), and Miami who was like 18-0* at one point! The manic nature of sports reporters regarding unc is amusing. Every win is crowed as a turning point (even though their wins are coming against the dregs of a mediocre ACC). I am extremely saddened that unc’s win over miami last night ensures that unc will not finish in last.
Forgot to put in my footnote
*due to embarrassingly bad OOC schedule
Packhooligan, good memory
on Rutland, becasue i couldn’t remember his name. i too think it was Duncan’s senior year when Rutland hurt his knee. Odum insisted that he try to play after that although he really shouldn’t have. State behind Harrison and Benjamin beat Wake at Wake Duncan’s senior year on a three point shot that wasn’t-foot on the line. hey, but we took it!
i thought the team of Duncan’s junior year was the better of the two until the late season collapse.
good times
I remember that shot from CC. That State team really maxed out its talent and came on strong, finishing 4-4 (7-5 if you count the ACC tournament run) in the league after an 0-8 start. Such a promising debut for Herb…wonder why he was never really able to maximize a club like that one again.
