Message boards and Internet rumors. The latest one involves N.C. State guard Julius Mays leaving the program.
PackPride.com editor James Henderson joined Mark Thomas on 620 The Buzz Wednesday morning. Henderson was aware of the impending situation with Mays but was noncommittal when discussing it on the show.
"We really can't run anything on that situation until we can get someone to publicly comment on it," Henderson said. "But from everything we gathered all signs point to that happening. It's just a matter of us reaching Julius, a family member, someone along those lines to confirm it."

back about the time
State men’s basketball was losing to UNC and Va Tech at home i wrote at this side that Lowe because of his micro managed slow tempo inside out game would play Mays over Harrow or Brown. Backing the Pack asked me if i was kidding, and i wrote that i wasn’t and added the comment that i just felt that way. down on Lowe and his offense at the time.
now it appears that this nightmare will not happen. i wish Mays good things, but i just could never understand why he continued to get so much playing time. he just never improved as the season went along.
Havi, during his soph year had a bad mid year, but improved somewhat as the season progressed. he improved a lot this year. do not know if Mays was going to improve his junior year. good luck to him.

I hate to see him go
strictly for depth reasons, and he seemed like a good guy and teammate. Best of luck Julius!
