Larsen To New England, Young To Detroit
The Patriots had their eye on Larsen for a while and finally got around to snagging him in the 6th, while Willie Young went early on in the 7th round. Toney Baker will have to find an opening through free agency. Best of luck to all three of those guys.
Larsen conference call.
Young conference call.

Sorta surprised about Toney
I don’t claim to know nearly enough about the draft to have a clue about what round people should go in… but I didn’t see Toney as the “undrafted” type. Those guys typically have a hard time catching on somewhere – he’ll get a shot, but he’s got to beat out the drafted guys by a bunch to stick around.
Best of luck to all three… I’d be surprised if Young, in particular, isn’t successful somewhere.
Injuries
I don’t think NFL teams clamor for RB’s with injury problems unless they are extremely talented.
Just an odd decision to skip his last season in that case
I wouldn’t think it’s worth it to pass up your final season unless you’re pretty confident that you’re stock’s already high enough. His evidently wasn’t…

My comment below notwithstanding
I wouldn’t give up on Toney just yet. Every year there a few UDFA’s that go somewhere. It’s really just as likely as going in the 6th or 7th round, I think (or close to as likely, anyway).

Doesn't Baker know
that Mike Shanahan’s not in Denver anymore? He’s not so likely to gain 1300 yards just because of their zoning blocking scheme, like back in the early 00’s.
