A relationship forged years ago on the recruiting trail played a part in Marshall's latest addition to its men's basketball program.
Johnny Thomas, a 6-foot-6 wing player from North Carolina State, said Tuesday he's going to play his final two seasons with the Herd. Thomas is a graduate transfer and will be eligible immediately.
