I absolutely go with "Yay"
In the end, our offense will be good enough to win games. The defense just can’t roll over and die like they did last year – if they can pick Glennon/Wilson 4 times, that’s a HUGE step forward, as they won’t face QB’s of that caliber every single week…
I have faith in the offense
to get the job done. Even if the offense was having an off day, at least the D did something.
Since it was a "situational" scrimmage
and we don’t know under what situations these picks, sacks and TFLs occurred, it’s tough to read much into the numbers. If there was a lot of time spent in the “down seven with a minute to go” situation, I could see that leading to a lot more pressing by the QBs (throws into tight spaces) and sacks (QB holding the ball too long looking to make a play deep downfield).
We’ll know more after the final scrimmage, which should be structured more like an actual game than this situational one.
