the only really bad game State played was the one at Cincinnati. although GaTech put up a lot of points against State, State kept plugging away, scored 35, and was somewhat in the game until the end. we now know that Wake is a pretty good team as they handled FSU much as they handled State. now that UVA has beaten Miami on the road and GaTech at home, State’s win at UVA last weekend does not look bad at all. while i don’t expect State to beat FSU at FSU, i do look for a much closer game than the 19 point spread.
