Have You Run Into A Virus Issue When Visiting The Site?
There have been some reports across the network from people who have run into virus warnings and/or popups. Apparently it can take the form of a fake antivirus popup (AVG) and attempt to have you download something malicious.
SBN's tech team is working on it, but I wanted to check with you guys and make you aware of the problem. We've been told that it happens most commonly to folks using IE. I use Firefox and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. If you've seen anything strange, let me know.

hey fellas
Mizzou fan here, checking in on sites where bball coaching searches r taking place & hoping we don’t join that list soon. Reason I’m posting is b/c I had a popup much like described RIGHT b4 coming to your site. Was on Team Speed Kills & got a phony “you need to start a virus scan” popup. I did a hard shutdown & everything seems fine since I didn’t click anything on it? Was using IE.
Just thought I’d post. Good luck to the pack, wish you all well since you ain’t UNC or Duke!
Thanks
Are you relieved that Anderson re-upped his contract?

I got the virus.
Not sure if it came from here, as it DLed itself to my computer while I slept, but I got it.
If you get the virus (AV Defender was what it was called for me), download MalwareBytes, and it gets rid of it really well, better than anything else.
Happens to me
on occasion. I’ll type in the URL for BTP and instead be taken to the fake antivirus site.
yep, i have been running into that.
on my laptop i usually have to reboot the computer to stop it from running-seems it will start running on its on if one tries to close it. here on my desktop i am able to close it in the normal fashion.
yes
I had a couple times where my work computer said it stopped a virus with the anti-virus software on the site. I thought the URL it showed was probably for an add.
Glad to hear SBN is on it.
