CJ Leslie Makes The ACC All-Freshman Team
The league announced its all-conference teams this afternoon. Nolan Smith, Malcolm Delaney, Reggie Jackson, Kyle Singler, and Jordan Williams made the first team. No Wolfpack players made the second or third team either.

I agree with four of the guys on that list
But since CJ was not our best freshman… well… it’s obvious that highlight reels trump fundamentals.
I know I gave CJ a hard time
at the beginning of the year, but he ended up having a pretty good year for a freshman. The problem is that he had all this one and done billing, so you expect to see a much better all around player, combine that with some of the boneheadedness and you come away disappointed. I say with the right coaching, that CJ can be a really good player. Anyways, congrats CJ, I hope you stick around.
CJ was deserving of all ACC rookie team...
but it’s clear that his game has some definite holes in it and maturity is probably the thing holding him back the most. WIth the uncertainty of the NBA labor situation and multiple facets of his game being exposed this season, I look forward to seeing how his game progresses as he potentially learns from new instruction.
