Gregg Marshall to stay at Wichita State

First Shaka Smart decides to stay at VCU, now Marshall's staying at Wichita. Starting to get the feeling nobody wants us... What will Yow do now? Who are the next best candidates? Let's take a quick look at some possibilities.

Jeff Capel - No.

Tommy Amaker - Intriguing. Not too thrilled about this possibility myself, but he has done some pretty good things up there at Harvard. System fit is what's got me feeling skeptical.

Trent Johnson - I like this idea. I think he may be the best option right now, along with the next one.

Johnny Dawkins - I do hate the idea of bringing in a Duke guy, but hey, if he gets the job done, maybe we'll forget.

Mike Brey - I like the guy, but I'm still not completely sold.

These are just a few options, and, as you can probably tell, I felt that Smart and Marshall were the best choices. Oh well. Maybe we'll find a sleeper.

Not a big fan!

Tim Miles has yet to win me over. He inherited an awful Colorado State program and has brought it to mediocrity. We’ve been doing mediocrity for a few years now, I think we need someone who’s ready for greatness. We need to hire Valvano 2.0 (even though I think it’s impossible). The more I think about it, Wojo seems like the guy now that Marshall and Smart have said no.

The Tim Miles recommendations

are tongue in cheek. He has some intriguing qualities, but I don’t think anyone considers him ready for primetime. Also, getting csu to mediocrity is no small feat.
