I went on "The Pulse on Campus" to talk about the Russell Wilson situation. I think I've contradicted myself 45 times at this point, but I can't be sure.

one thing that no one has done to the best of my knowledge,
is compare Andrew Brackman’s decision on baseball and basketball and Russell Wilson’s decision on football and baseball.
i am of the opinion that Brackman could have played in either the NBA or MLB. i, also, am of the opinion that Wilson is a long shot to play in either the NFL or MLB.
Brackman gave up basketball after his sophomore year to concentrate of baseball. while Brackman missed basketball, he never waivered on his decision. i can not write that Brackman having Tommy John surgery affected his decision, but i doubt that it did.
Wilson appeared to have chosen to concentrate on his baseball career after his sophomore year in football (junior year in baseball) in that he did not attend spring practice in 2010 and signed a contract with Colorado after the 2010 college baseball season. Wilson graduated and left school after the first semester of this year to play baseball for Colorado. Now Wilson wants to play college football this fall although his contract with Colorado apparently does not give him an “out” to do so as it did in 2010.
What Wilson should have done (easy for me to write): not signed a contract with Colorado last summer, played football last fall, played college baseball this spring while attending spring football practice, if drafted by a ML baseball team this year, sign with an out to return and play football for State this fall.
or: take a cue from Brackman and pick one sport and stick with his decision.
Again, easy for me to write.
