Last week at this time, we had four teams with a realistic shot at the last two ACC tournament slots, but now we're down to three. Wake Forest swept Boston College over the weekend, which vaulted the Deacs into 8th and put them in control of their own destiny while also pretty much ending whatever shot Boston College had.

State needs to bounce back quickly from a weekend that was damaging, not just because they lost a series, but also because they lost it to another bubble team. They weren't bad losses from an RPI standpoint, but if we're in the discussion along with ETSU for one of the tournament's last few bids, we'll be in trouble. Aaron Fitt had NC State on the bubble and in prior to the weekend.
