Holliday certainly hasn't added anything to
State’s baseball program absent that one brief period during the 2008 regional games against South Carolina. when he took the job at State he in so many words stated that Avent was right on the edge of getting to the College World Series and that he and Avent would be more concerned with getting there as opposed to winning the ACC championship. how has that been working out for us?

Haven’t seen a real improvement in our pitching outside what you would generally expect thru experience. Our recruiting in the pitching department has been better, but that raw talent translation to mound talent hasn’t found its way yet.
