One source said Miami was "in big trouble" as a result of the claims and that Shapiro would be able to back up his allegations. Most of the allegations focus on Miami football players receiving money and other benefits as a result of playing for the Hurricanes. Investigators are expected to question several current players with ties to Shapiro but one source said there was no connection between the current coaching staff and the booster.

these things worry me.
in the old black and white western “The Ox-Bow Incident”, Henry Fonda when taking part in a lynch mob told his friend in so many words that they should be careful becasue lynch mobs tend to start hanging just anyone.
with the NCAA on a roll in investigating more and more schools, whether legitimate or not, i worry about our school-N.C. State. i don’t think any school is really clean. its just to hard for a school to police all of the boosters and players.
Correct me if I wrong, but
aren’t you supposed to WIN if you are cheating? Not only are we ACC schools just not very good at football, the one’s that have been cheating must be even worse. Don’t you cheat to “gain an advantage”?
hahah seriously,
I was thinking the same thing. Good god, you have to have some awful coaches if you can’t win and your giving out Bentley’s to every 5-star that comes.
in regards to what i wrote above:
take a look at CaptainCraptacular’s post at the State Fans article on the above investigation.
Can't go there
That whole site is craptacular… but I can’t see this spreading to us just because. I’m knocking on wood as I say this, but TOB has been known for clean programs, and why would we need to pay 2- and 3- star recruits to come here? Just can’t see it. As for the academic side of the investigations, how many kids has TOB kicked off the squad because they didn’t handle their business in the classroom? I see your point, but in the accounting world we have a saying, material vs immaterial, and I firmly believe that anything that could have happend is still very much in the immaterial realm.
Still knocking on wood…
I love the internet
It is the only place you will see something like, “I think CaptainCraptacular has a good point”

If a million monkeys typed on a million typewriters for a million years
I still don’t think they’d come up with as good a point as CaptainCraptacular.
I think this just proves that Carolina is right
and it is in fact the fault of the system. The system is clearly to blame.
My question: System, what up, bro’? Where’s the love?
