"Rodon is going to be in the rotation somewhere, whether it's No. 1, 2 or 3. We could have lost him last night and had to really redo the rotation. And getting our center fielder back—Brett Williams is a pretty darn good center fielder, and he hit really well during the last 30 days of the season. Yeah, the 15th of August will be a memorable day."

Glad to have that day behind us
Was disappointed to see so many we did lose. Could use an injection into our offense too. Can’t wait for sports to get going back at State.
after reading the article hightlighted in your post,
i wonder how this State class is ranked nationally. from what i have learned, class rankings do not come out until it is clear how many signed players actually enroll in a particular school, so unless someone else can find the rankings for 2011-2012, i will have to wait. Avent when he signed this years class said it was a good one. i was skeptical, but he may be right. time will tell.
misspelled "highlighted".
another spelling error not caught. :-(
Thats really strong up the middle
The catcher from Charlotte that turned down a reported million plus signing bonus from the Padres was the biggest shocker. All along things seemed to be pointing to Rodon coming aboard-will be a Saturday, if not Friday, Starter by ACC play. Continuing up the middle you’re in great hands with the SS and 2B returning along with Williams coming into his own in Center. Good pitching and solid defense up the middle will get you alot further along in the new “dead bat” era of College Baseball than what Avent had planned on before.

in the next few years
an ACC tournament title or a super regional win by Avent is needed/expected-preferably both!
