Enough.
Enough gutless coaching. Enough clueless clock management. Enough Duke-level recruiting.
In year 6, with what was touted as his "best team," the guy is a missed chip shot FG and a series of improbable and idiotic errors by FSU away from being 3-5. His "best team" was not competitive with a team that is 0-5 in the SEC. His "best team" was tied in two games in the final minute with the ball and timeouts available. Both game were lost in regulation.
Seriously, do you know how ****ing hard it is to that even once? But TWICE? The last time with all three timeouts in our pocket?
His "best team" looks like it will end up with one win over another bowl team. His "best team" gets outgained on a yards per play basis every. single. game.
Hideous in-game management is nothing new, of course. Recall the numerous blunders in the 45-42 loss in Tallahassee in 2009. The insane punt at Clemson in 2010 that cost us the division title.
About the only thing his "best team" has done so far is avoid getting blown out, which typically happens 1-2 times per year. (But Clemson is still on deck...)
We can do better.
I remain convinced that TOB will retire after the season. But if he does not, Yow should not hesitate to pull the trigger.
