Collegiate Baseball Newspaper has released its preseason top-40 poll, and NC State checks in at number 11. The ranking is the highest that State has ever received in the preseason for baseball. All told seven ACC teams are ranked in the top 40, with only North Carolina (number 2) ranking ahead of State. Notably, last year's foe Vanderbilt ranks number 3 in the poll, so it seems likely we may be seeing the Commodores again in a regional near us.
