According to WRAL, Doeren has added his first coaching staff member as the new head coach of the Wolfpack. Ryan Nielsen will serve as the defenisve line coach and recruiting coordinator under Doeren. According to Doeren:

"Ryan is one of the best technicians on the defensive line that I’ve ever been around...He played the game at a very high level and learned to coach from a number of great defensive minds. He has great energy and passion for his players and is a tireless and energetic recruiter."

Prior to working with Doeren at NIU, Nielsen served in the same capacity at Tennessee Martin, so hopefully that means he will have some form of recruiting relevance in the area.
