I Just Like Looking At This
Yeah, the schedule hasn't be what one might call arduous up until now, but I don't care because look at how many wins we have already! We have surpassed the Sidney Lowe baseline. State's at least in the NCAA tournament discussion right now, and we have a chance to put ourselves in the field with a strong finish. Couldn't ask for more than that opportunity in Mark Gottfried's first season.

I look at it all the time as if it’s something I am personally cultivating. This is also pretty cool.
Worst case at this point
is 5 games over .500 in the regular season. I believe that is at least 2 games better than Lowe’s best regular season record. Hope we can win at least one of the next 3, because if not, I could see it leading to a slide that will be hard to come out of.

I'm still hoping to match Herb's best season
with 11 wins. All we need to do is win one of the next three and beat Miami, VT and Clemson. The latter two should be doable, miami is going to be a tough challenge but I think we can beat them at home.
The focus right now is Duke. I’m so nervous, are we going to implode like we did against UNX? Or are we going to play like we know we can.
I love the Steelers.

Yeah, absolutely
11-5, and we’re in, IMO. My biggest worry is that we lose the next 3, then end the season on a 6 game losing streak because they don’t recover mentally. Maybe I’m scarred by the Lowe JJ Hickson season.

with UVA
playing at UNC today and Miami playing at FSU, State could be solidly in fourth place by th end of the day.
I'm assuming we need Miami to win, so our win against them looks better?
I guess it doesn’t matter too much – we need to win one of our last 3… then 2 of our last 3… then a game or two in the tournament.
One more question – do we want to finish 4th (and get the 1st-round bye, but play a good team on Friday), or finish 5th-7th and play an “easy” game Thursday to pick up another win? I’m guessing that win would be pretty meaningless regardless, so we’d want the rest for Friday’s game…

Outside of...
BC and maybe WF I dont think there will be an easy game for us on Thursday…I think I’d rather have the bye…

Well, if we finish 5th-7th, we have a 2/3 chance of playing Wake/BC
But I don’t know that it’d help anyway… so agree I’d rather have the bye & fresh legs Friday.

Any game we'd win on Thursday probably wouldn't help our resume much.
And it’d make the Friday game that much harder.
If you disagree with my opinion, I will take it personal and hate you forever.

Want UVA and Miami win
Lets go for ACC title and to do so the leaders need losses. Unlikely, sure, but we play the big dogs soon and how awesome to just have that possibility in the conversation at this point. Also. ABC for life!
The part that I think is great
is that if you look on ESPN at the standings, we are surrounded by teams (above and below) that have little numbers by their names.
You know what's cool
If we win out, we control our own destiny and would prob get the regular season title (tiebreaker issues – unknown). I know, highly unlikely, especially with the three best teams back-to-back-to-back, but its still cool to think about.
Can’t believe the vast improvement we’ve seen in this team. Looking forward to whatever the tourney season brings us. We are squarely in NIT as a high seed, praying to continue our push towards the NCAA birth.
You know what's cool?
If we win out, we’re only 15 wins away from the NCAA title. ;-)
Sorry – couldn’t resist.

For the first time in a very long time
I have not even thought about baseball during basketball season. Usually when February rolls around I’m starting to look foreword to baseball. That’s about 20 February’s in case anyone is counting.

I vote that no one mention the NIT anymore
We vote around here, right?
