Renegotiated TV deal could result in $2 million more per school per season.
These are the financial gains associated with adding Syracuse and Pittsburgh, apparently. Still puts the ACC behind the Big Ten, Pac-12, and SEC.

No way we should be behind the Pac-12
We could argue to be almost an equal football conf and a much better bball conference, presently, and for the past decade. Big Ten sucks, but somehow Michigan and Ohio St are always going to create big numbers because of alumnus and fan base. The SEC is the football mecca.
I blame the commissioner for being 4th… I’ve always felt that ever move Swofford made has only crippled this conference more and more. Then again, I’m sure the $2 mil will be helpful.
…Michigan and Ohio St are always going to create big numbers because of alumnus…
Yeah, the Big Ten is made up of huge schools. The total enrollment of its 6 largest schools (Ohio St, Minnesota, Michigan St, Penn St, Wisconsin & Michigan) exceeds that of all 12 of the schools currently in the ACC.

I would argue that 4th is about right.
n_s nailed it that the big 10 is made up of huge schools corresponding alumni bases, and the Pac-10,12,25, whatever covers the entire west coast and much of the mountain region – its all about TV markets.
All that said, can we go ahead and have our money fight now?

The Pac-12 and Big Ten have better long-term plans and leadership
It’s pretty much that simple. The Big Ten Network is a huge cash cow. Sure, they have big draws in the league, but they wouldn’t be at a 20+ million payout annually per institution without that network.
And the ACC may be behind the Big 12 as well…didn’t mention ‘em because I couldn’t remember.
Reading this correctly,
I think this article means that each team will have an increase of $1-2 million, and the two new squads will make the same (Unless Swofford does what they did to BC on withholding $$ for the first two seasons). So that means the pot will be split 15 ways (the conference gets an equal share (ridiculous)), and each share will be roughly $14 million.
Hmmmmmmm…that number is low to me.
