Des Kitchings Expected To Be Hired As NC State's New RB Coach
There was an unsubstantiated rumor on Twitter yesterday saying that Tom O'Brien had spoken with Air Force running backs coach Des Kitchings about the vacant RB job at NC State, and today it appears that report was accurate, because now Pack Pride is saying State is expected to hire Kitchings:
According to sources close to the situation, Air Force Academy running game coordinator and running backs coach Desmond "Des" Kitchings is expected to be named running backs coach at NC State.
Kitchings spent the 2011 season at Air Force after a three-year stint at Vanderbilt where he was the running game coordinator and briefly offensive coordinator in 2010.
Here is Kitchings' bio. He spent several years bouncing around the NFL before going into coaching at Furman in 2004. From there he moved on to Vanderbilt, and then on to Air Force prior to the start of the 2011 season. A move to Raleigh would get him closer to his east coast roots--he's a South Carolina native and a Furman alum.

So what you are trying to tell us is...
that he is going to South Carolina next year like our last RB coach?
On a positive note
I think Air Force, a traditional passing program, did a ton of running this year and were one of the top teams in the nation. We could use someone with experience in that department.
