We have to hope now that what State's done up to and including today is enough in the selection committee's eyes to warrant a bid. I'm proud of the way this team scrapped today; they played really hard all afternoon through all forms of adversity and/or DeShawn Painter jump shots. That's not easy to do, particularly given the opponent in this case, not to mention the NCAA-Tournament related pressure.
I think everybody thought this game was over when Calvin Leslie was handed his fifth foul, but the guys rallied, and Lorenzo Brown came close to completely taking the game over and being the difference. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. I'm done venting so I'm not going to go any further than that, but you all feel free to do so.
Calvin and Lorenzo were fantastic all afternoon, and Richard Howell would have had a considerably bigger impact without a certain thing that happened that one time or three. Anyhow. Cheers everyone!
