Jordan Brand Classic: Rodney Purvis Takes Home MVP Honors For East Team

How many of these all-star games do they have for high school players now? At this point I just want these kids to stop and go do stuff that doesn't risk injury. Go make some chocolate milk or take a nap or something. We know you can jump really high and stuff, guys, sheesh.

Anyway, Rodney Purvis played in an all-star game over the weekend with many of the nation's top prospects, though neither Tyler Lewis nor T.J. Warren were among them. Purvis scored 22 points and was voted the MVP of the East team.

UCLA-bound Shabazz Muhammad and N.C. State-bound Rodney Purvis earned co-MVP honors at the Jordan Brand Classic, with Muhammad's 20 points leading the West All-Americans to a 99-95 victory over the East All-Americans. Purvis scored 22 points on 10-for-13 shooting, collected two rebounds and made three steals for the East.
