This is a good first step in the quest to keep Bobby Lutz on the NC State sideline well into the foreseeable future: he's been promoted to associate head coach. It didn't come with a contract extension, though.

"I really enjoyed my first year at NC State," said Lutz, "The people associated with the university are great and it's a pleasure to be a member of a staff that is so unselfish and has the same goals: winning championships and helping our players succeed. I look forward to being a part of the Wolfpack's continued success and I'm excited about the future."
