Don't look now, but the arrival of football-like substance is upon us. Fall camp gets an early start corresponding with the early start to the regular season, which means that practices begin on Tuesday afternoon. This also means it is time to start worrying about injuries on a daily basis. So dust off those lucky charms, incantations, dances or obstinate skyward-aimed tirades, everybody. It is officially fretting season. Together we shall overcome. Well, no, we probably won't.

Fifth-year seniors Mike Glennon and Sterling Lucas were voted team captains by their teammates on Monday.

"Being elected by their peers is testament to the leadership that these two young men have shown," said head coach Tom O'Brien. "Not only have they worked hard throughout spring practice and in our summer workouts, but Mike and Sterling have also already earned their degrees."

The team faces plenty of questions as camp gets underway, but at least there's no Russell Wilson distraction this year. According to Glennon, figuring out how to "start strong and finish strong" will be an emphasis in camp. I'm not sure what they can do to address that in a meaningful way. Other than consulting this chart:

Following each practice, Tom O'Brien the rest of the staff will head to a conference room in the Murphy Center, fire up YouTube, and carefully consider the opinions that "BigVOLdaddy" has about the season-opener. They expect to achieve a state of all-encompassing discouragement by mid-August at the latest, as there sadly is just no denying that "Wolfpack you got no shot."
