Four-Star Forward Kyle Washington Commits To NC State

Stay connected for news and updates

Mark Gottfried is having a pretty good September. He received a nice pay bump, Rodney Purvis was cleared by the NCAA, five-star point guard Cat Barber committed, and now he's gotten a pledge from four-star forward Kyle Washington. Washington is playing for Brewster Academy this season, which is also where T.J. Warren went to school.

Here's what ESPN has to say about Washington:

Washington is an extra long and athletic lefty power forward that is oozing with potential. He runs the floor effortlessly. Can finish drop off passes created by dribble penetration on the break and in the half court with length not strength.

Washington is No. 66 in ESPN's 2013 top 100. He's No. 96 according to Rivals and No. 82 according to Scout.

Assuming the departures of Lorenzo Brown and Calvin Leslie after this season, here's what the 2013-14 roster is lookin' like:

PG: Tyler Lewis / Cat Barber
SG: Rodney Purvis / Ralston Turner
SF: T.J. Warren
PF: Kyle Washington / MegaHorse
C: Jordan Vandenberg

Lots of youth and lots of potential. We definitely need to add another big to the roster, though.
