It's a bad day for wide recievers. PackPride is reporting that Hakeem Flowers is no longer with the NC State football program. Apparently he did not travel to Nashville, either. A reason for departure from the team was not given, but it was confirmed through the university so it's pretty official.

The trouble with highly-rated guys is a lot of them don't pan out. In order to have an elite team, you have to recruit a LOT of elite guys, so that the good ones rise up and the others don't matter. As with the Priester discussion, wideouts often aren't really worth the stars. Still, it's a bit disheartening this news came today.
