Pre-Turkey Time with the Pirates

Stay connected for news and updates

N. C. State's fourth non-conference date was announced today. It was known that the Pack will open the season with consecutive home games against Louisiana Tech (August 31st), Richmond (September 7th), and Central Michigan (September 14th), but the date against in-state rival East Carolina was TBD. Well, now it's just D. The Pack will host the Pirates on November 23rd, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

It will be the latest non-bowl, non-conference game for the Pack since hosting the same Pirates over Turkey Day weekend in 2006. The Pirates won that game, the last one of the Chuck Amato era, 21-16. East Carolina is coming off an 8-5 season that concluded with a New Orleans Bowl loss to Louisiana-Lafayette.
