Crawford's Defection Opens up a Scholly for CDD

Y U no stay, Sylvester? - USA TODAY Sports

The first defection from the new staff, or at least the first one I have heard about, is Sylvester Crawford, who has transferred to UNC-Pembroke. Apparently they have a football team there. Crawford appeared in 13 games and made 5 stops in a career that was somewhat plagued by injuries. A hip injury cost him part of 2010, and a subsequent knee injury ended his season and caused him to miss spring workouts the following year. The 6-4, 240-pound redshirt junior was probably not an integral part of the future for Dave Huxtable's defense. At defensive end, the Pack returns leading sacker Darryl Cato-Bishop as well as Art Norman, Forrest West, Mike Rose, and the much-heralded Kenderius Whitehead, who redshirted in 2012.
