The NC State women’s basketball team (6-1) endured its first loss of the season on Friday afternoon, falling in its Gulf Coast Showcase opener to Wright State by a final score of 99-90.
With the loss, NC State will play Southeastern Louisiana Saturday at noon.
Junior Len’Nique Brown led the way offensively for the Wolfpack, scoring a career-high 24 points on 8-12 shooting. She was one of four NC State student-athletes to score 10 points or more, as Markeisha Gatling (15), Kody Burke (13), and Miah Spencer (13) also chipped in on the offensive end. Brown would end the day with six assists and six rebounds to go along with her 24 points.
What indicates that the team is not all that eventhough it has a record of 6-0? Why it is a loss at a neutral site to a team from the Horizon Conference with a WarrenNolan rank of 22. O.K. Wrigth State has a WarrenNolan RPI of 80, but their one loss is a home loss to Memphis which has a WarrenNolan RPI of 291.
A Roger Rabbit Plueaaaase! Yea, you made out by playing six weak teams at Reynolds, but now the real you is showing.
