We have a game tonight, wooooooo! Unfortunately the game is against BC who, while inferior, will almost undoubtedly provide a frustrating match-up for NC State. I'm going to ask you to rummage through your alchohol-riddled brains, and think back to the very first ACC game of the season for the Wolfpack in Chestnut Hill. In that game Ryan Anderson pretty much had his way with 22 points and 13 boards, while the freshman pg and Fear Factor host Joe Rahon made me yell horrible things at my tv by slowly but surely driving by the NC State backcourt with extreme ease to finish with 18 points. But the mighty Wolfpack were able to get the hell out of Massachusetts with a 78-73 win thanks to a really nice game from Rodney Purvis (19 pts on 7-10 shooting, 4-5 from 3) while everyone else had average to below average games.
Coming into the game tonight Mr. Anderson is still the Neo of the team averaging a nice 15 and 7 in conference play, but what is new in Beantown? Well, Joe Rahon, while solid for a freshman, is not the world beater that NC State made him seem (8.5 pts, 3 A, 2 TO in conference). He will pretty much get all the minutes at point guard, so it would be nice to get him in foul trouble. But let me tell you about another freshman: Olivier Hanlan. The 6-4 guard is averaging 15.7 pts/game in conference which ranks him 5th in the ACC. Everyone be on the watch out for this dude.
