I'll give him some slack as he has not coached one game yet, and that is just "coach speak", but that concept is troublesome. To think that you can develop your players better than ALL the other coaches you play against is probably just not going to happen. It might, but its unlikely. You rarely if ever turn a 4.6 speed guy into a 4.4 speed guy. And I know speed is not the only important thing, but it definitely matters.
