P.J. Hairston Suspended Indefinitely After Latest Moving Violation

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

No word yet on whose car he was driving.

Troubled UNC wing P.J. Hairston apparently applied the straw that broke the camel's back when he ran afoul of the law yet again Sunday, this time getting pulled for doing 93 in a 65. In addition to the speeding violation, Hairston was also cited for careless and wreckless driving. He has been suspended indefinitely as a result of his latest transgression.

In two previous traffic stops, Hairston was driving vehicles rented for him by Haydn "Fats" Thomas or Thomas's live-in girlfriend, calling into question whether the much-maligned UNC athetics department may run into more trouble with the NCAA. In one of those stops, Hairston was cited for marijuana possession and driving without a license, though charges were subsequently dropped. A loaded handgun was jettisoned from the vehicle at the stop, but as of yet no gun charges have been levied at any of the three occupants.

There is no word yet as to whether the car Hairston was driving in his third stop was provided by a third party, though the Pack Pride message board sleuths should have this information in short order. Regardless, it's yet another example of incredibly bad judgment from a pampered Heel player who appears to believe he is both above the law and NCAA regulations.
