NCAA Tourney Day 1 Open Thread

Share your thoughts, score updates, and/or alerts to possible madness type events occuring on the first day of the tourney. I want to blitz the league office with e-mails and snail mails to let those insulated, unaccountable, assholes know NCSU fans aren't happy.

I think we need to make such a stink about how this game and the Duke game were officiated that the league has to do something about it. We can't take this lying down. We can't quit.

Dear Wolf Pack fans:
I created this video in honor of Jimmy Valvano and to help raise money in the fight against cancer. It was produced for the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic. Producing the video is a lot of fun as I was able to interview the entire Valvano family, Jimmy V's Oncologist and a ton of Celebrities. I am looking for ways to improve upon it next year.

Things of interest... don't play at home until week 3, and don't have a decent home game until week 6 against FSU.
Also, our LB corp took a big hit when DJ Green was ruled ineligible by the NCAA. So what you're telling me is that our top returning LB is ruled ineligible, yet UNX still doesn't know what is happening to them after nearly a year. Yea, I'm calling shenanigans!
Two ACC Meet Records for Wolfpack Track Team

The NC State men broke a pair of ACC meet records at the conference indoor track & field championships in Boston tonight. Kris Kornegay-Gober cleared 7'3.75" in the high jump, which also broke the NC State school record.
The distance medley relay team of Bobby Moldovan, Daniel Fretz, Vibushan Sivakumaran, and Ryan Hill ran 9:40.05 to take three seconds off the meet record (and school record) set last year by the Wolfpack. Hill received the baton for the 1600-meter anchor leg in fourth, over five seconds behind leader Virginia, but ran 3:57.34 (about 3:59.0 for a mile) to win by three-and-half seconds. Earlier this season Hill became the first Wolfpack runner to break four minutes in the mile, and two weeks ago ran the fastest indoor time ever by an American collegiate runner in the 3000 meters. (Yes, that's as impressive as it sounds.) He will try to defend his ACC title in the 3000 tomorrow.
Karl Hess needs to capitulate his position

Contact Swofford at (336) 854-8787 and Demand Karl Hess resignation from the ACC. He is flawed and bias concerning any Wolfpack basketball games and needs to be dismissed from his duties. Please call the ACC office and tell John Swofford how you feel and how insane Karl has become as a referee. Coach "K" should have been ejected long ago nearly every game. Obscenity is a staple character on the court and every referee knows about his language, yet no one ejects the Big "K" because that would be wrong. How sick is this time we live in.

2012 McDonald's All-American rosters released:
North Carolina State leads the way with three All-American recruits: point guard Tyler Lewis of Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), shooting guard Rodney Purvis of Upper Room Christian (Raleigh, N.C.) and small forward T.J. Warren of Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.). Kentucky and Arizona claim two selections apiece, while no other college currently has multiple recruits selected to the game.
The 2012 McDonald's All-American game will be held March 28 (9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN)
