Hey, so that went okay. I still have to catch up on things since I had to miss quite a bit of it, but it looks like the Pack responded pretty well to what was a rather uninspiring performance against Penn State on Thursday. (But an easy win nonetheless.)
I really thought UMass would keep up with the Wolfpack in this game, but I'm glad to have been proven wrong on that one. The tempo was high, not surprisingly, and State won this game in all four factors. If the Pack had been able to hit free throws at a higher clip, it almost certainly would have crossed the century mark in scoring. It was an impressive win against a team that most feel can contend in the A-10 this season, and that's a pretty deep conference.
With the win, NC State advances to the title game of the 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. The opponent is Oklahoma State, which took down Tennessee this morning, and oh you had best believe there will be hot liveblog action.
