Good video here of a very surly heave--that ball angrily rattled its way through the rim. I also enjoyed Mike Gminski's commentary. There literally has never been a basketball player who thought twice about a half-court shot because he was worried about his field goal percentage. I don't know every basketball player in history and cannot speak for all of them personally, but I'm sure that's true. Seeing trick shot practice pay off is its own reward.
Hesitating on a shot like that is the equivalent of thinking, "you know what, I should stop having fun and get to work on my taxes." This doesn't happen.
