We could only hope to avoid the noon time slot for so long--the run of mid-afternoon games for NC State ends Nov. 8 when the Wolfpack will host Georgia Tech at 12:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised either by the ACC Network or RSN, and I'm trying to figure out what the difference is. (Not that it matters.)
Anyway, after NC State's most triumphant victory over the Yellow Jackets and a brief celebration of the Wolfpack's freshly-earned bowl eligibility, fans will need to make their way to PNC Arena for the basketball team's exhibition game. The hoops contest against Queens University will tip 45 minutes after the Georgia Tech game ends, though delays are possible depending on how difficult it is to remove a disconsolate Paul Johnson from Carter-Finley.
None of that should be considered a jinx on my part because it is just what is going to happen. Bowl eligibility after an, oh, let's say, 38-35 win. Sad Paul Johnson. Basketball. All those things, in that order. I wouldn't make this stuff up and lie to you people.
