NC State football scrimmaged on Sunday.
At the ACC football kickoff Sunday, Bryan was asked question after question about Wilson, including some that bordered on ridiculous, like whether the color of the jerseys involved played into Wilson’s decision to transfer to Wisconsin.
"Not really," Bryan answered, gamely. "It’s good for him and obviously good for them. I wish the best for him."
Greene said he has worked in the weight room, though, to improve his speed, lateral movement and flexibility so that he will be able to do more with the ball.
But as with many freshmen, the mental part of Greene's game needed the most improvement last season. He said he has worked on that as well and has gotten better.
"I know the playbook a lot better than I did last year," Greene said. "I know my blitzes and my reads now."
Freshman running back Mustafa Greene has been practicing for N.C. State despite injuring his neck on a crushing hit in the regular-season finale at Maryland.
The injury appeared severe at first, but Greene recovered quickly. O'Brien said he probably would have been available to play a week after the Maryland game if the Wolfpack had advanced to the ACC championship game.
