I checked that CMU YPP figure a couple of times since it didn't seem to reflect what happened in the second half of the game at all, but it's right there in the official box so it must be true. Central Michigan didn't have a lot of snaps from scrimmage because of turnovers (5) and 3rd downs (3-10), and that one 77-yard touchdown really shifted the averages. Plus they were really good in the first half. State's defense has yet to hold a I-A opponent under 6.3 yards per play. [/picture of Mike Archer shrugging]
