TJ Warren Commits To NC State

Just a few minutes ago, Scout.com's Evan Daniels reported that 5-star small forward TJ Warren picked NC State over Georgetown.

Daniels re: Warren:

T.J. Warren is one of the best scorers in the country. Scores it inside and out. Terrific pick up for Mark Gottfried.

WTVD's Mark Armstrong:

TJ Warren credits asst Orlando Early for his recruitment and says he, Tyler Lewis and Rodney Purvis want to bring State back to prominence

Sounds good, guys. Let's do that.

Warren is ranked as the #5 small forward and #22 player overall in the class of 2012 by Scout.com. He is the second top-25 recruit that Mark Gottfried has landed. (Rodney Purvis is the other.) Including Tyler Lewis, State has commitments from three of the country's top 65 prospects. Might Amile Jefferson or Andrew White be next? Even if Warren is the last addition to the '12 class, State probably has a top five class; that's not a bad effort by a coaching staff that has only been on campus for about six months.
