Torian Graham Decommits From NC State

Well, this sucks. The Wolfpacker and Pack Pride are reporting that 4-star (or 5-star depending where you look) shooting guard Torian Graham has decided to explore his options. Graham initially committed to new coach Mark Gottfried back in May. He'll still have the Wolfpack in his top five, which means technically we remain in the running--I"ll think positively for a moment and suggest this could end up being another CJ Leslie situation. But I don't about the odds of that sort of thing happening twice.

So. NC State's class of 2012 shinks back to one commitment at the moment: Tyler Lewis. Thank goodness for Lewis's loyalty throughout this transitional period. It's disheartening for Graham to open things back up, and it makes nabbing another guard even more important, but State seems to have a decent shot at either Andrew White or Rodney Purvis, which would certainly ease the pain quite a bit.

Update: Jeff Gravley spoke to Graham about the decision:

"I feel like I rushed my decision," he explained of his May commitment. "I need to sit down with my family and my bother, who just got to town, to discuss my future. I need to take it slowly this time"

NC State remains on his list. "Oh yes sir," he quickly responded. Graham said Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, UCLA and Baylor are also on his list of schools to explore.
